About the Author

<p>My name is Lana, and I’ve always loved creating things and admiring art in picture books, comics, and video games. I grew up in Melbourne with my three older brothers, and our weekend trips to the library, borrowing picture books and playing Nintendo 64, inspired me to start drawing characters. Over time, I began inventing my own characters and stories. I’m also a qualified florist who enjoys making bouquets, but I always come back to painting and storytelling, where there are endless possibilities. Plants and animals appear in most of my artwork. They help spark an idea and often become the centre of the story. Sunset Lion was inspired by my Maine Coon cat and my Melbourne garden.</p><br>
