Henry and Flo

<p>Author:<br /><br>Kat was born and raised in the small town of Wagga Wagga, NSW. After<br /><br>spending seven years in Melbourne, Kat and her family returned home in<br /><br>search of the right support for their son, Henry, who was diagnosed with<br /><br>autism during the COVID-19 pandemic.<br /><br>Kat struggled to find the right book to help her daughter, Florence, understand<br /><br>Henry’s unique way of experiencing the world and explain autism in a way that<br /><br>resonated with her family, so she decided to write Henry & Flo.<br /><br>She hopes that this story will help other parents and siblings to navigate the<br /><br>beautiful, and sometimes challenging, journey of growing up with a family<br /><br>member with special needs and remind us all that love, acceptance and<br /><br>embracing differences makes life truly wonderful.</p><br><br><p>Illustrator:<br /><br>Kayla Lee is an Adelaide-based artist and designer. From a young age, she has<br /><br>had a passion for art, which led her to pursue studies in visual art and design.<br /><br>With experience in various creative roles, Kayla has discovered the freedom and<br /><br>happiness that illustration brings. While embracing a range of art mediums,<br /><br>she finds particular joy in working with printmaking, oil painting, and digital<br /><br>art and illustration. By day, she shares her passion as an art and design teacher<br /><br>for secondary school students. Kayla appreciates the opportunity to mentor<br /><br>young artists, encouraging them to explore and develop their artistic skills<br /><br>and art practice. In her spare time, she eagerly draws, crafts, and brings to life<br /><br>whatever comes to her mind.</p><br>
