Jobs are for suckers?

“A modern novel about nothing ... and everything else too.” So writes author Matt Michalewicz at the beginning of Jobs are for Suckers?, his first novel – but not his first book, as he has previously written numerous books on building a business; achieving success in life and business; critical thinking, mathematics, and problem solving; and Artificial Intelligence. Jobs are for Suckers? turns away from a fascination with financial and business “success” and examines just what it means to be human, the very meaning of life itself, and appreciate relationships – acknowledging that the value judgments and feedback generated by so-called elites isn’t worth much at all. Yet this work of fiction is not pedagogic in intent. Rather, the reader is immersed in other worlds, where little is fixed, and less resolved.
