My Monkeys My Circus

Toni Adams lives by the beach in Newcastle, New South Wales with her husband Neil and her two amazing children, Conrad and Alexandra. An avid reader from a young age, Toni has always dreamt of writing and illustrating books that would help her readers discover and celebrate themselves in the pages. Finding the right partner to illustrate her first book was not an easy process and so after many months, Toni took a deep breath and had a go at self-illustrating. As a result, she surprised herself and delighted in watching her characters come to life exactly as she had envisioned them. She took it as lesson about not listening to those inner monkey voices who said she couldn’t and discovered how well she actually could. Toni’s debut book My Monkeys My Circus is full ofmindful stories using her family members as inspiration for her characters.
