This inspiring new guide is your key to unlocking the natural beauty and hidden treasures of this captivating North African nation. Your passport to venturing beyond the typical tourist itineraries and experiencing Morocco's wild side, it includes swims in secluded desert pools, hikes through ancient cedar forests and visits to dizzyingly high mountain villages. Discover the dramatic gorges of the Dades Valley, experience the hospitality of remote Amazigh (Berber) villages perched high on mountainsides and cool off in waterfalls hidden deep in the Rif Mountains. This guide also reveals secret coves that are ideal for swimming or surfing off, wallowing in the waters of the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Venture into the Sahara Desert and camp under star-filled skies amidst rolling dunes, or seek out the magic of hidden oases and lush palm groves tucked away in the south. Taking in awe-inspiring landscapes such as Paradise Valley, a hidden swimmer's oasis in the Anti-Atlas Mountains, the majestic Ouzoud Waterfalls, which plunge 100 metres into emerald pools, and the wild, windswept beaches of Sidi Kaouki and Cap Sim, the guide also includes detailed maps, practical tips, and advice to help empower you to explore Morocco in a more responsible, sustainable way.
