Shelley Hornstein is Professor of Architectural History and Visual Culture at York University, Canada. Her work looks at the intersection of memory and place in architecture and urban sites. She is also exploring issues of demolition, virtual space and Jewish topographies, and the imbrication of architecture and human rights. A graduate of the Universit+¬ de Strasbourg, France, Professor Hornstein has served as Associate Dean, Co-Director of the Centre for Feminist Research and twice as Chair of the Department of Fine Arts, Atkinson College.
