The Threadbare Coat

<p>Thomas A. Clark lives in Pittenweem, a fishing village on the east coast of Scotland. His three previous books from Carcanet are <em>The Hundred Thousand Places </em>(2008), <em>Yellow & Blue</em> (2014) and <em>Farm by the Shore</em> (2017). With the artist Laurie Clark, during the summer months, he runs Cairn Gallery, a space for minimal and conceptual art. In exploration of some formal possibilities of poetry, his work often appears as installations or interventions in galleries or in domestic or public spaces.</p><br>
