Young people need to network effectively, manage their finances responsibly, be digitally proficient and be alert to the world around them. If school does not respond quickly, then today's youth will no longer see any relevance to their education as they look to tomorrow. A distance is already growing - as examinations and outdated curricula lose their authority - which means schools need to look again at their offer, for the young have already made up their minds to move on.
