LineStorm Playwrights is a well-known group of twelve accomplished playwrights from the Portland, Oregon, area who have had their works performed around the world and who also collaborate on and produce pieces together. Lolly Ward's plays include 72 Objects (semifinalist, O'Neill NPC), Gone (Inkwell's Lerner Fellowship; finalist, Portland Civic Theatre Guild), Mate (Eric Tucker at the Actors' Gang; CalTech), Do You Take This Woman? (Smith & Kraus, Best Ten Minute Plays 2019), Black Press in the White House (Smith & Kraus), and The Ethel Party (Silk Road Review). She was a member of the LA-based Playwrights Union before moving to Oregon, where she joined the board of PATA and co-founded LineStorm Playwrights. She received her BA and MA from Stanford University in English and creative writing. Read her work on the New Play Exchange. She is a member of Actors' Equity, the Dramatists Guild, and SAG-AFTRA. LineStorm Playwrights was established in 2016 as a nonprofit collective of Portland-area dramatists. LineStorm fosters the development of new and diverse works of theater by member playwrights, sharing those works in progress with the general public to encourage dialogue and provide an opportunity to hear community voices. LineStorm is a playwright company in residence at Artists Repertory Theatre.
