Lighting the Steps

The poems in Philip Holmes' fourth collection are as widespread in time, covering a 16-year period, as their settings are scattered geographically. These range from Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, where he grew up, to Bucharest, Kyoto and the USA, where he has lived since 1977.
