C. L. Seow is renowned for his expertise in Near Eastern languages and the Hebrew Bible. He taught for ten years at Vanderbilt University, where he held the Vanderbilt, Buffington, Cupples Chair in Divinity. Prior to that, he taught for more than three decades at Princeton Theological Seminary. He has authored numerous articles and books, including commentaries on Job, Daniel, I and II Kings, and Ecclesiastes.
