Welcome to Blackwood

Khaiah Thomson pens the bestselling Blackwood series. The first book in the series, Welcome to Blackwood, won the Hawkeye Publishing Manuscript Development Prize in 2020 and went on to become the publisher’s flagship YA presence in the marketplace. In2020, Welcome to Blackwood won finalist in the Qld Writers Centre ADAPTABLE competition, which resulted in film interest. The second book in the series, Leaving Blackwood, was released in 2021 and has had rave reviews from fans. When Khaiah isn’t in her home office writing, she can usually be found nose-deep in a book or procrastigaming. If she’s not at home, she’ll be at the nearest café, hovering close to the coffee machine. Khaiah lives in Western Australia with her husband and two sons.
